Description

One of Glasgow's Premier Independent Whisky Bottling Companies, North Star Spirits, was established in 2016 by Iain Croucher. They are dedicated to unearthing hidden gems within the Scotch Whisky realm, meticulously curating casks and spirits. This Blended Grain 1982 36 Year Old is part of North Star's eighth batch of bottlings, distilled in 1982 and matured for 36 years in an ex-bourbon cask before being bottled in March 2019. Only 288 bottles were produced for this limited edition release.

Nose
Fruity coffee, vanilla ice cream and a touch of tobacco. Charred oak and poached plums.
Palate
Nutty at first with marzipan and Brazil nut, followed by dark chocolate and charred oak. Hard toffee and French fancies that develop into a lingering dry finish with a slightly salty edge.
Finish
Soft dates, oily walnut and honey. Dry, long and salty.
