Description

A small single malt distillery situated at the heart of the high street in the town after which it is named. Originally founded in 1794, it is today part of the Diageo portfolio and its single malt was one of the original Classic Malts of Scotland brands in 1988.

Full and rich, honey, spice, fruits, assertive salty and peppery qualities, very saline, drying, punchy, gentian, liquorice root, herbal bitters.

Long and smooth, tingle from spice, warming, peppery, salty, mineral, sandalwood, impressions of gorse flower and dried papaya.
