Nose
Fruity, intense and extremely complex. A glorious zesty nose with masses of sweet fruit complemented by salt and chewy, roasted caramel malt, gentle sea spray, yellow apples, tangerines, vanilla cream, honey, apricot jam, wood spice, tobacco leaves, dried fig, orange zest and crushed grapes with hints of smoke.
Palate
Creamy smooth and sweet and gently grapey, with waves of malty flavour, a backbone of sea salt and gentle white-pepper spiciness. Salted caramel, dried fruit, fresh citrus juice, a touch of peat, soft malts, delicate fruits, brine, butterscotch, toffee, and caramel notes.
Finish
Long, attractively sweet-smoky and clean, with appetising oak-spice. Drying, with a lightly peppery aftertaste, dark chocolate, dried fruit, toffee, sweetened Jamaican coffee and oak, with a malt-biscuit effect.
