Description

Oban Old Teddy The Macleans Edition is a limited edition, distillery-exclusive single malt Scotch whisky released in 2019. It is the first of three installments in 'The Macleans' series, created to honor the legacy of three generations of the Maclean family who have served at the Oban Distillery, particularly Old Teddy Maclean, the first-generation master distiller. This expression was personally selected by Derek Maclean, Old Teddy's grandson. Only 3,960 bottles were produced.

Nose
A delicate aroma with immediate rich red fruit quality sherry notes, orange peel, honey, and brine character. Raspberry, cherry, oxidized grape, oloroso funk, tamarind, vanilla, cocoa nib, and spice notes.
Palate
Extremely rich and very balanced in flavor. Creamy, almost viscous, with sweet overall taste and a trace of salt in mid-palate. Warming woody spice and burnt oranges.
Finish
Rich and smooth. Long and spicy, with a shake of white pepper. Good oak, a little caramel, some honey, and a salty kiss.
