Description

This Octomore 12.2, part of the renowned Octomore series from Bruichladdich distillery on Islay, is a 5-year-old heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky. Known as 'The Impossible Equation,' it was distilled in 2015 from 100% Scottish grown Concerto barley and malted to 129.7 PPM. It was matured in a 50/50 combination of first and second-fill American whiskey casks before being vatted in 2019 and finished for 18 months in first-fill French Sauternes wine casks. Bottled in 2021 at 57.3% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and coloring-free, offering a complex balance of sweet and smoky notes.
