Description
The Octomore 2002 Futures is the first release of Bruichladdich's heavily peated Octomore series. Distilled on Islay in 2002 and bottled in April 2008 after 5 years of maturation, it was initially released as a 'futures' offering to private customers. At 80.5 ppm, it was considered the most heavily peated whisky in the world at the time of its release. It was matured exclusively in Buffalo Trace Bourbon casks, and 9,600 bottles were released.
