Rest & Be Thankful Whisky Co. is an independent bottler, part of the Fox Fitzgerald Whisky Trading Company, launched in 2012. The name 'Rest & Be Thankful' originates from an inscription on a stone placed by soldiers in 1753 in Glen Croe, Scotland, signifying a place for weary travelers to rest. This particular release is an Octomore single malt, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2014 at 6 years old. It is a super heavily peated, non-chill filtered, limited edition single cask bottling, with an outturn of 302 bottles.

Thick, oily mouthfeel, rich and sweet with layers of fruit like pears, peaches, and lemons. A peat bomb with savory, smoky peat, sweet grass, green tea, and earthy notes. Maritime brine, horse pasture, and barnyard funk.
Finish
Long, with deep earthy peat, sea salt, seaweed, smoked salmon, and goat cheese. Smokey and peaty with smoked sugar, icing sugar, dried grass, fruits, and barnyard funk.
