Description

This Octomore Edition 15.2 is a 5-year-old Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky, super heavily peated to 108.2ppm. It was distilled in 2018 from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto barley and matured initially in a combination of second-fill wine and second-fill bourbon casks, before being recasked into first-fill Cognac casks for the remainder of its maturation. This limited release is non-chillfiltered and naturally coloured, bottled at 57.9% ABV. It offers a complex profile with notes of rye bread, roasted coffee, and a thick, buttery texture, leading to toffee, cracked black pepper, and significant peat.
