Nose
A sea salt breeze on Islay, with notes of raspberries, butter, warm plastic, peat, cinnamon, and cardamom spice. There's a huge red wine influence, bringing sweet forest fruits, jammy notes, and milk chocolate, with smoke subtly in the background.
Palate
An initial hit of toffee apple, chili spice, cranberries, strawberry jam, raisins, and sultanas, though not as peated as expected. Despite the high ABV, it has a huge presence with more smoke than the nose suggests, alongside wine influence, forest fruit, leather, chocolate, and a bit of tannic bitterness.
Finish
A medium finish with a lingering gingery spice, becoming long and warming, drier and spicier with smoked fruit and more tannic oak.
