Octomore 13.1 'The Impossible Equation' is a 5-year-old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Bruichladdich Distillery. Distilled in 2016 from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto barley harvested in 2015, it is renowned for its super heavy peating level of 137.3 PPM. This expression was matured entirely in first-fill ex-bourbon American oak casks and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 59.2% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and has natural color, embodying the classic Octomore .1 style with a balance of floral, malty spirit and sweet American oak alongside its signature peat smoke.
