Description

This is a limited small batch release of Old Louisville 7 Year 'Double Oaked' Bourbon, bottled at barrel proof (125.4 proof / 62.7% ABV) and non-chill filtered. It undergoes a double oaked process, matured for seven years in new charred American oak barrels and then finished for an additional period in heavily toasted and charred American oak casks, intensifying its oak influence and adding layers of deep sweetness and char. This particular batch is BAWS-5, with 179 bottles produced.

Nose
Explosive aromas of toasted marshmallow, dark brown sugar, cinnamon bark, chocolate-dipped pecans, vanilla bean, and sweet pipe tobacco.
Palate
Robust and oily with a punch of oak spice, waves of maple syrup, burnt caramel, peanut brittle, charred oak, and spiced fig. Creamy yet intense, with a satisfying balance of sweet and smoky flavors.
Finish
Long and warming with a peppery heat that tapers into a lingering note of dark cocoa, black cherry, toasted oak, and baking spices.
