Description

In 1993, aiming to revive a tradition dating back to the 18th century, a time when most American whiskeys were made from malted rye, Fritz Maytag, owner of the microbrewery Anchor Brewing Company, decided to create his own distillery. Named Old Potrero, it is located atop San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood, from which it takes its name. Deeply mature and complex, this version offers an ideal introduction for anyone interested in discovering Old Potrero. Packed with spicy, earthy, mineral, and root-like notes, its aromatic and flavor profile has also preserved the fruity and floral freshness that characterizes this unique rye whiskey.
