Description

The Pulteney distillery was founded in 1826 in Wick, Scotland, and is known for its maritime character. This Old Pulteney WK209 Good Hope is a limited edition, travel retail exclusive single malt Scotch whisky, bottled in 2011 at 46% ABV. It was matured entirely in first-fill European sherry casks and is non-chill filtered. The expression is named after the 'Good Hope' WK209, the first steam herring drifter boat in Wick Harbour to use an echo sounder, built in 1948. A total of 9,600 bottles were released.
