Description

The Pulteney distillery, founded in 1826 by James Henderson, is located in Wick, in the Highland area of Scotland. It is known for producing single malt whisky with a distinctive maritime character. This 18-year-old expression is matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon barrels and Spanish oak sherry casks, resulting in a warming, complex, and pleasingly fruity whisky with notes of charred oak, spiced pastry, apples, salted caramel, sea spray, vanilla, and dark chocolate. It is bottled without chill filtration for extra body and structure.
