Nose
Fairly punchy start with an alcohol kick and a slightly acetic edge, becoming sweeter and creamier with notes of candy sugar, red berries, kirsch, vanilla, candied ginger, and light flinty notes.
Palate
Sweet fruity notes, firm spices (pepper, ginger, a little salt), berries, sweet apples, a hint of cough syrup, and maritime hints, with a bit more sherried character than the nose.
Finish
Long, sweet, and spicy, with honey and a touch of peat.
