Description

This inaugural cask strength release was distilled and barreled in 1996 before the original Heaven Hill (Bardstown) distillery burned down. Barrels were hand selected by Parker Beam and according to Heaven Hill, five batches were bottled at different proofs: 121.4, 122.6, 126.6, 127.4 and 129.6. This 1st Edition was released in 2007 to honor the legacy of Master Distiller Parker Beam. It is an 11-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, bottled without chill filtration.

Rich caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak, maple syrup, warm baking spice, fudgy dark chocolate brownies, blueberry, citrus zest, red liquorice, brown sugar, minty wood, rancio, musk, toffee and caramel popcorn, cinnamon roll bread dough with a hint of mint and maple syrup.

Bold and intensely flavorful with layers of toffee, dark honey, roasted pecans, cinnamon, leather, dried fruit, dark chocolate, charred oak, thick oily mouthfeel, sweet oak, tobacco barrel notes, cherry, cola, thick and mouth coating, figs and molasses, liquorice, grape, sweet waffles with brown sugar and maple syrup, oak/wood, spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, citrus, bazooka buttlegum, thick buttermilk pancakes with walnuts and maple syrup, creamy burnt vanilla, dark brown sugar and peanut brittle.

Exceptionally long, warming, and beautifully balanced, lemon zest and sweet seasoned oak, light mint, sticks to your palate and tongue, bbq smoke, baking spices, honey, long and dry.
