Description

This ultra-rare Penderyn release was bottled exclusively for Passion for Whisky. Finished in a Fino sherry bloodtub – a tiny 40-litre cask – after initial maturation in an ex-Bourbon cask. This dramatically concentrated and flavour-packed dram yielded only 228 bottles. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at cask strength.

Nose. Rich sherry aromas with green apple, pear, and bright citrus zest. Almonds and walnuts join with subtle herbal notes and a whisper of white pepper. Palate. Dry, elegant, and refreshing. Hints of vanilla, oak spice, and lemon zest unfold alongside a gently briny minerality reminiscent of sea spray. Finish. Medium length with a dry, nutty, and slightly salty finish. Lingering notes of almond and citrus peel leave a refined, crisp impression.
