Nose
Sweet and smoky with vanilla, cinnamon, baking spices, and apple strudel notes. Maritime influences, citrus, and subtle caramel are also present. Floral notes of jasmine, gardenias, and rose petals mingle with herbal malt, aging oak, and a corn syrup sweetness, alongside tart berry and pink peppercorn.
Palate
A thick and oily mouthfeel delivers vanilla, honey, barley sweets, cooked apples, and smoked Gouda. Medium-bodied with apples, nectarines, cream, and a subtle maritime character with salt and tar. Initially soft with malt and muted peat, it develops into intense peat, charcoal, wood fire, earthy walnuts, pecans, and floral notes.
Finish
Medium long with apple peel, dark chocolate bitterness, hickory, ashy smoke, seaweed, and sea salt. Orange, cream, and salt linger. A mellow, lingering peaty finish with milk chocolate, sea salt, cocoa powder, and a savory element, evolving into barrel char and dry tannic notes.
