Description

A limited release from Islay's Bruichladdich distillery, this 18-year-old heavily peated Port Charlotte single malt was distilled from 100% Scottish barley. Bottled in 2023 at 54.3% ABV, it had an outturn of 6,000 bottles. The whisky is a composition of 53% bourbon cask matured, 31% sherry cask matured, and a final 16% initially matured in sherry casks for 11 years, then finished for around five years in new French oak before being recasked into second-fill bourbon casks. It has a phenol level of 40PPM.
