Description

This was the very first PC release, the first step on the 'walk of life' for this bold young Ileach. It was distilled in May 2001 at Bruichladdich distillery, marking the first liquid to come off the stills after its reopening. Matured for five years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, it was bottled in 2006 at cask strength of 63.5% ABV. This heavily peated Islay single malt, part of the 'Evolution' series, was a milestone in the distillery's progress, with a limited outturn of 6,038 bottles. It is non-chill filtered and natural color.
