Description
This heavily peated whisky from Bruichladdich is generally peated to 40ppm and is distilled in the same tall stills resulting in a spirit that has both power and elegance. Created to commemorate the Lochindaal distillery, originally called Port Charlotte, which closed in 1929, it was the first spirit distilled by the Murray McDavid team in 2001. PC6 is called 'cuairt beatha' which is Gaelic for 'the walk of life'. It was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2007 after six years' maturation, first in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in ex-madeira casks. This is a limited release of 18,000 bottles, non-chill filtered and retaining its natural color.
