Description
This heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, peated to 40ppm, was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2009 as an 8-year-old. It is the fourth and final release in the 'PC' series of age-numbered Port Charlotte expressions, nicknamed 'Ar Dùthchas' (Gaelic for 'Land of our heritage'). Matured in American oak casks and bottled at cask strength (60.5% ABV), it is non-chill filtered and naturally coloured. The release was limited to 30,000 numbered bottles and comes with a tin. It commemorates the Lochindaal distillery, which closed in 1929.
