Nose
Coastal and sooty, with subtle candied notes, honey, yellow apples, vanilla, sweet almonds, and wax. Faint medicinal notes and traces of cured meat. Peat is present but not dominant.
Palate
Smoothly oily and mouth-filling, sweet and spicy to start, then turning salty, kippery, herbal, medicinal, and ashy with sharp lemon.
Finish
Long, warming, ashy, with coal smoke, lemon, and a bitter/salty combination, with a peppery-smoky edge.
