- Nose
- Dignified and warm, with dried fruit (peaches, apricots, prune), cinnamon, clove, oak, rum cake, and light peat. Notes of floral bouquet, green leaves, vanilla, and later, nutty and smoky like an empty chimney.
- Palate
- Peat, wood spices, pepper, and ash, followed by a sweet wash of dried fruit. Gentle earthy peat smoke, honey, farmy notes, nutmeg, cinnamon, raspberries, strawberries, oak spices, white pepper, and dark chocolate.
- Finish
- Wet peat and dryness, with ash and a peppery ring. Long, ashy, honeyed sweetness, sherry in the background, dry, dark chocolate, more pepper, ash, and some salt. Medium length, subtle peat, honey, nuttiness, lingering gentle fresh red berries sweetness and white pepper.
