Description

Port Ellen was founded in the 1820s. It started out as a malt mill but was quickly developed into a distillery. Port Ellen was one of the many victims of the 80's whisky crisis, and was shut down in 1983. Since then, the distillery's remaining single malts have become some of the most coveted in the world.
