This is a Pursuit United Double Oak Bourbon from a 'Barrel Heads' Private Barrel Selection. It is a blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskeys, low rye and wheated bourbons, from different distilleries in Kentucky, Tennessee, and New York. It undergoes a secondary oak finishing process using custom 36-month seasoned French oak medium toasted staves. Palate
Smooth butterscotch flavors dominate, balanced by notes of luscious vanilla custard, caramelized sugar, and gentle baking spice. Also features dry oak, nutmeg, burnt marshmallow, waffle cone, cinnamon candy, dark brown sugar, dark cherry, and creamy vanilla sweetness.
Finish
Warm and lingering with oak, cinnamon spice, and soft sweetness. Evolves to cinnamon-spiced baked pears, toasted oak, clove, and a cinnamon candy tingle, with a fairly dry, white pepper spice, leather, fresh bread, and a brief lemon/citrus note.
