Description

Na Sia Single Cask Series showcases the six signature Isle of Raasay Single Malt recipe casks. The three casks used with both unpeated and peated spirit are, Ex-Rye, Chinkapin & Bordeaux wine. This is a peated ex-Rye whiskey single cask 18/641, a limited edition bottled at 62.3% abv. It was distilled on 4th October 2018 and bottled on 7th July 2022, yielding 210 bottles.

Nose
Raw, powerful, and a little bit spirity with buttery oak notes, shortbread, sweet key lime, lemon, pepper, fizzy soda, medium peat, damp hay, salt, and pungent herbal scents.
Palate
Thick mouthfeel, very punchy, with strong peat, strong herbal notes, syrupy texture, sharp peppery spice, lemon, baking notes (buttered toast, custard, anise, oats), eucalyptus, lavender, and grass.
Finish
Very long with lots of peat, herbs, and wood notes (rosemary, lavender, clove), dry wood, semi-sweet lemon, and vanilla, generally quite dry.
