Description

Redbreast Mano a Lámh is a limited edition, non-chill filtered, single pot still Irish whiskey. It was released in February 2015, with only 2,000 bottles made available exclusively to members of The Stillhouse. This expression is notable for being the first in the Redbreast range to be matured solely in ex-oloroso sherry butts, specifically first-fill Spanish oloroso sherry casks. The name 'Mano a Lámh' means 'hand in hand' in Spanish and Gaelic, celebrating the relationship between the Midleton Distillery and the Spanish artisans who craft their sherry butts.

Nose
Rich with dark fruits like ripe red grapes, blackberries, currants, dried figs, dates, and raisins, along with fine spicy, leathery, and earthy nuances. Hints of eucalyptus, menthol, apple, and sweet vanilla.
Palate
Strong, full-bodied, and pot still-spicy, leaning towards tart dried fruit rather than being sherry-dominant. Notes of licorice, white pepper, oranges, peaches, apricots, dark chocolate, and toasted cinnamon sticks.
Finish
Long and full of spices, echoing the earthy and leathery notes from the nose, with caramel, oak, and woodland fruits.
