Description

An iconic Lowland malt whisky distillery that is currently owned and operated by Ian Macleod Distillers. It developed a cult status among connoisseurs following the unpopular decision by United Distillers to close it in 1993, laying dormant for over three decades before resuming production in 2023.

Nose
Orange blossom, ginger, digestive biscuits, syrup, faint menthol notes. Develops a pleasant malt & marmalade character.
Palate
Full, creamy mouthfeel. A luxurious, syrupy, mouth-coating unctuousness, with delicious sweet cereal and floral character and an underlying pepperiness.
Finish
Warming. Pepper and golden syrup with a balanced maltiness. A dram for a cold winter's evening.
