Description

Berry Bros & Rudd are the oldest wine and spirit merchant in Britain, operating from the same premises in London's St James Street since their founding in 1698. This delicious Royal Brackla was matured for around 12 years in refill hogsheads before being given an additional 2 years in a fresh ex-Pedro Ximenez butt.

Nose
A wonderfully spiced mix of fresh and dried fruits; apples, pears and melon from the distillate and sticky figs and dates from the wood. Maple syrup on pancakes, figs, a good kick of ginger.
Palate
Leans more towards the thick sherry wood influence with prunes, clove rock, toffee and honeycomb all swirling round. Festive spices – think clove and cinnamon. Still lots of sticky maple syrup notes, plus some fresh red berries.
Finish
Medium long, still focused on oak spice, alongside walnuts and citrus peel. Lingering cedar and toffee.
