Description
Founder of the original Lochnagar distillery, James Robertson clearly had a few foes in the business as competitors burned it down and - after Robertson built a new distillery - the second subsequently suffered the same fate. Lochnagar managed to establish a greater amount of luck and success when in 1845, John Begg built his 'New Lochnagar' which gained a rare Royal Warrant only a few years later. This commemorative release, distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2022, was specially bottled for Balmoral Estates in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee 2022.
