Blended by Chivas Brothers, Royal Salute was launched on the 2nd June 1953 in tribute to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Named after the traditional 21 gun salute, this rich, classy blend is aged for a minimum of 21 years and is bottled in a range of Wade porcelain decanters. This special limited edition Royal Salute 21 Year Old The Signature Blend Lunar New Year features an impressive array of symbolic elements and was created in collaboration with renowned Chinese illustrator and visual designer Yunshu Li to reinterpret the concept of “Ignite the New Year”.

Powerful aromas of sweet pears and citrus fruits are balanced with the full fragrance of autumn flowers. Elegant aromas of sweet vanilla and dry oak are enhanced with subtle notes of sherry and smoke.
Palate
Rich, Full, deep fruity flavours with a subtle smokiness. Sumptuous sweet orange and marmalade flavours infused with fresh pears burst across the tongue. The second taste brings in a rich medley of spices and a nuttiness of hazelnuts that have a mouth-filling intensity.
Finish
Dry and slightly spicy, with a warming finish of smoky hints.
