Big and rich, with fruit and nut, black cherry, olde English marmalade, peat, moss/fern, dried peels, black banana, caramel, and some smoke. Also notes of overripe tropical fruits like apricot, papaya, and honeydew melon, with a hint of cinnamon.
Palate
Fruit cake sweetness, thick feel, broad mid-palate, tapering into a dry spicy finish. Notes of milk chocolate, sugar candy, honey, Christmas spices, prunes, cocoa, vanilla, malt, and clear oak tones.
Finish
Nutty and long, with warmth and exceptional duration. Syrup-like sensation, caramel sweets, liquid heated honey, subtle hints of orange peel, sage, and anise.
