Description

Royal Salute 21 Year Old Vintage Ruby is a blended Scotch whisky, aged for a minimum of 21 years. It was created in 1953 by Chivas Brothers as a tribute to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, named after the traditional 21-gun salute. This expression is presented in a distinctive ruby-colored porcelain flagon.

Rich, fruity aromas of sweet pears and citrus fruits, balanced with the full fragrance of autumn flowers, sweet vanilla, dry oakiness, sherry, honey, and subtle floral and nutty undertones.
Palate
Full, deep fruity flavors of sweet orange marmalade, fresh pears, dark chocolate, caramel, dried fruits (raisins and apricots), with a rich medley of spices, nuttiness, and hints of smokiness. Very smooth and mellow.
Finish
Long, sweet, and fruity, with lingering flavors of toffee, spice, soft oak, ginger, and a light chocolate note. Delicate, smooth, and slightly smoky.
