Description

Wakatsuru first started producing whisky in 1952 when it obtained its license and its first release came only a year later, however in the same year a fire broke out in the distillation room which burned down a total of six buildings, with the hard work from the local people in the community they managed to rebuild in less than six months. 60 years later and Wakatsuru Shuzo launched the Saburomaru. This Saburomaru VI The Lovers is the seventh release in the Tarot series, blending Highland peat distilled in 2020 and Islay peat distilled in 2021. It is bottled in 2025 at cask strength.
