Description

Sakurao Brewery and Distillery, founded in 1918 in Hiroshima Prefecture, began distilling malt whisky in 2017. This is their inaugural single malt release, the Sakurao 1st Release Cask Strength 2021. It was aged for 3 years in a combination of bourbon, new American oak, and sherry barrels, with a finish in Mizunara barrels. It is a cask strength expression distilled and matured on-site at the seaside distillery. [cite: 4, 5, description_candidates]
