Inspired by a long line of Douglas Laing family fox terriers, this cheeky little rascal Scallywag with his one remaining front tooth is as lively and full of character as they come. Named after him, this limited edition release is a marriage of Speyside single malts, exclusively from Speyside, including, amongst others, Mortlach and Glenrothes distilleries. The rich and spicy character extracted from its many fine Spanish sherry butts, the bottler, carries a spiced character on the nose. An unusual warmth dances on the palate, detecting a further layer of macerated dark fruits and chocolate fused with cinnamon. The finish displays a burst of orange rind with mocha and toasted oak. With a pedigree like this, Scallywag is bottled at natural cask strength, non-chillfiltered and no colouring or chill filtration, allowing the natural character of the spirit to shine through. This fruity animal companion, bottled at cask strength, is available exclusively for the Dutch market in a limited edition of 600 bottles at 53.2% ABV, non-chill-filtered, and with no added colorants.
