This 12-year-old Cask Strength Limited Edition Scallywag is a Speyside Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts range. It is a marriage of Speyside single malts matured exclusively in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The whisky is bottled at 53.6% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration, and is part of a strictly limited release of 1600 bottles.

A good hit of sherry, with dark cherry jam, dark berries and treacle, with a hefty sprinkling of baking spices.
Palate
Sweet and rich, more rich treacle, sweet, almost honeyed vanilla cream, barley sugar and toasted oak among lots of jammy blackberries.
Finish
The fruity, sweet palate continues onto the finish, with even more spicy notes building, lots of cinnamon and allspice remaining.
