Description

Scapa Skiren is an unpeated single malt Scotch whisky from the Orkney Islands, distilled at the Scapa Distillery. It is matured exclusively in first-fill American oak casks, resulting in a smooth, honeyed, and fruit-forward character. The whisky is produced using a unique Lomond still, the last of its kind in Scotland, and was first introduced to the Scapa range in 2015.

Nose
Delicate and floral on the nose, opening with fresh pear and a wave of ripe pineapple. Beneath the fruit sits a gentle layer of runny honey and fresh cream.
Palate
The entry is smooth and sweet, delivering honeydew melon and juicy pear across the palate. Mid-palate, lemon zest and subtle anise notes emerge, while crushed nuts and developing oak spice add structure and complexity toward the peak.
Finish
Long and refreshing, with lingering honey warmth and a final flicker of lemon peel. The oak influence remains restrained, leaving a clean, bright close.
