Description

Swell de Spirits was founded by Michael Barbaria in 2021. Michael's two great loves in life are exceptional spirits, and surfing. So he launched independent bottler Swell de Spirits to combine his love of both. In a relatively short period Michael has made a big mark on the world of artisan spirits. And gained quite a fan base around the world. Rather than focus on one particular spirits category, ... This Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from a secret distillery in the Highlands, an iconic Scotch whisky region. Distilled in January 2000, this lightly peated spirit was first aged in bourbon casks, before undergoing a second maturation in a second-fill Oloroso sherry cask. This double maturation, combined with more than 25 years of rest, has allowed the development of a unique aromatic profile. Bottled at 54.2% cask strength, it is presented in a 500 ml format, in a strictly limited edition of 353 bottles.

Nose
A deep scent of burning rubber on a racetrack mingles with the grease-streaked aroma of a vintage engine, before melting into waves of smoke-drenched caramel, vanilla cheesecake, and coconut-infused rice pudding.
Palate
A wild ride, smoky tyres and hay bales meet maple-drizzled waffles and oxtail soup in an earthen bowl. Turkish delight wrapped in milk chocolate dances with baked apples, autumn leaves, and spiced orange hot chocolate, while hints of flaxseed and dunnage warehouses whisper of old-world charm.
Finish
A long, creamy finish lingers with salted porridge, spiced chocolate fondue, and the well-worn leather of a mechanic's gloves, dirty, smoky, and utterly enchanting.
