Description

Signatory was founded by Andrew Symington in 1988. After discovering single cask single malt whisky while managing Prestonfield House Hotel, Andrew bought his first cask, a Glenlivet 1968, and is now one of the largest independent bottlers in Scotland. As of 2002, Signatory Vintage Whisky company became the owner of the Edradour distillery in Perthshire. This Secret Orkney bottling is a 14 Year Old, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2024, matured in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt.

Subtle snifter of smoke, fruity and exciting with dried apricots and sherry notes, candied quince and juicy grapes, summer berries and then the peat soft peat smoke.
Palate
Melange of fruits dances on the tongue, clove, nutmeg and cumin spices and some well introduced white pepper.
Finish
Long and pleasant, soft wood smoke, black cherries, damp leather and macerated fruits.
