Description

Created by Alex Thomas, one of a few female master blenders in the industry, The Sexton is made from 100% Irish malted barley and is triple distilled for smoothness in copper pot stills. The spirit is then aged for perfection for 4 years in former Oloroso sherry casks, sourced from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. It is bottled at 40% ABV. The whiskey is known for its rich and fruity character, presented in a distinctive hexagonal black bottle.

Oily, dark brown sugar, clove studded lemon, cinnamon, dark chocolate, coffee, black pepper spice, honeycomb sweetness, apricots, lemon zest, prunes, oak spice, dried fruit, malted barley, stewed apple.
Finish
Pretty short with oak spice and brown sugar notes lingering, woody, honeyed sweetness, medium-length, dried fruits fade, syrupy texture, honeyed, elegant sweet, dry finish with notes of Christmas cake.
