- Intense herbaceous elements, cereal grains, grassy meadow, farm field aroma. Notes of spearmint, lavender, marigolds, orange blossoms, fresh-cut hardwoods, pink peppercorns, cardamom, citrus zest, eucalyptus. Also baked goods, brown butter, oatmeal cookie, herbal tobacco leaf, black tea, heavy oak char, and subdued dill.
- Palate
- Initial capsaicin kick, savory sesame oil, then sweeter elements like citrus blossoms and fruit notes, expressed orange peel, medicinal cherry, herbal lozenge, cinnamon bark, clove, camomille, sage, and thyme. Mellow old oak with barrel char ash and charcoal flavors, and a familiar bitter pear skin taste. Brown butter, vanilla bean, bitter deep oak char, tea leaf, and clove. Viscous mouthfeel.
- Finish
- Bold herbal finish with citrus flourish, 95/5 character, barrel char bringing burnt sugar and tobacco notes. Clove and rye dominate with lots of char, and butter reappears.
