Description

Contact S is the third single malt whisky released by Shizuoka Distillery, bottled in 2021 after 3 years of maturation. It combines spirits from the distillery's ex-Karuizawa pot still and its wood-fired pot still. Matured primarily in first-fill bourbon barrels and quarter casks, it was made using Japanese barley malt, Scottish peated and unpeated malt, and German beer malt. This non-chill filtered whisky has no added color and was initially released as a limited edition of 5,000 bottles for the Japanese market, later becoming available for export.
