The Shizuoka United S is a Japanese Single Malt Whisky from the Shizuoka Distillery, representing the second single malt bottling from the distillery, following 'Contact S'. It is a blend of distillates from the distillery's two distinct pot stills, 'K' (an ex-Karuizawa still) and 'W' (a wood-fired still), harmonizing their unique characteristics. This release is part of the 'S Series' and is known for its smooth and balanced flavor. It is matured primarily in first-fill bourbon and wine barrels. The mashbill includes native Japanese barley, peated and non-peated Scottish barley, and German beer malt. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 50.5% ABV. Honey, caramel, sliced apples and pears, cinnamon, hints of milk chocolate, with a delicate wisp of smoke, vanilla, freshly toasted bread, yellow fruit, and almonds. Palate
