Nose
Dry, vinous, with spicy, woody notes of oak shavings and beech. Alluring aromas of tart red berry fruit, creamy vanilla, and a hint of wax. Also notes of waxy apple peel, almonds, baking spice, brown apple, toffee, lemon, caramel, butterscotch, and grass.
Palate
Ultra-smooth, mouth-filling texture. Lively, intense taste, barley-sugar sweet with a pinch of salt, becoming pleasantly tart with suggestions of gooseberry and crisp grape. Mellow, sweet, with baking spices, almond, hazelnut, pear tart, butterscotch, hay, caramel, and a nice herbal flavor.
Finish
Lengthy and palate-drying, with lingering pepper-heat and silken spice. Long, with baking spices, vanilla, pears, butterscotch, a hint of anise, lemon, honey, and a little earthy note.
