Description

SirDavis Rye Sherry Cask Finish is an American Rye Whisky created by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter in partnership with Moët Hennessy and crafted by Master Distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden. It pays tribute to Beyoncé's great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a Prohibition-era moonshiner. The whisky features a unique mash bill of 51% rye and 49% malted barley, distilled in Indiana. It undergoes initial aging in American oak barrels before being shipped to Texas, where it is finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Blended and bottled in Texas at 44% ABV, this non-age stated, non-chill filtered whisky is the inaugural release from the SirDavis brand.

Nose
Tangy Seville oranges mingle with soft sun-kissed raisins, sizzling spices of clove, cinnamon, and ginger, and luxurious notes of Demerara sugar and toffee.
Palate
Rich and buttery toffee is followed by an array of spices with cinnamon, clove, and classic rye spice up front. Soft, malty and biscuity notes intertwine with a vibrant citrus top note.
Finish
Hints of honey are encountered with a soft, lingering finish reminiscent of plump sultanas and ripe cherries. It is lengthy and tannic, with pronounced rye spice.
