SMWS Dundee Cake Explosion 22 Year Old, Bourbon & Oloroso Cask, Batch No. 37, The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, 50%

Batch 37: Just a dash – Dundee cake explosion. This whisky was teaspooned to be sold under a different name for non-single-malt purposes. It is composed of two first fill American oak oloroso casks. Before entering their respective oloroso hogsheads, the components of Batch 37 had matured in bourbon casks for 19 years, followed by a sherry maturation of three years. The result is an explosion of Dundee cake flavors, including dried fruits, marmalade, glacé cherries, brandy butter, tropical notes, peaches, apricots, salted toffee, quince paste, coconut cream, and marzipan.
