Description

Following the success of the first release, independent bottler Precious Liquors has created a second edition of Corporal Wojtek, honoring the extraordinary bear who became a beloved member of the Polish army during World War II. This 12-year-old Speyside Single Malt, from an unrevealed distillery, was finished in luxurious Pedro Ximenez barriques and bottled at a powerful 50.5% ABV. Limited to just 450 bottles worldwide, this release continues the story with deeper richness, intensity, and character, delivering a bold yet elegant PX-driven profile.

Nose
The whisky smells of dried dates, leather, oak, and warm, comforting spices. There are also raisins, dried plums, figs, white chocolate, and cherries in liqueur.
Palate
It is sweet, fruity, honeyed, chocolatey, and nutty. Cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg gently lift the whole and balance the sweetness of the PX. Intense entry of sherry sweetness, followed by lighter accents of dried and ripe fruits.
Finish
A pleasant, fairly long finish lingers with notes of spices, coffee, dark chocolate, roasted almonds, and an echo of dried fruits, gradually becoming drier. Warm, smooth, and medium-long, with a lingering aftertaste of sweet fruits and a delicate oak accent.
