Description

A collaboration between Sansibar Whisky and pop artist Charles Fazzino, this 43-year-old Speyside single malt was distilled in 1973 and bottled in 2017. It features Fazzino's distinctive artwork on the label and comes in a handsomely appointed wooden box. Limited to 627 bottles, it was matured in a Sherry Butt.

Nose
Subtle whiffs of upholstery, furniture polish, old cigars, cedar wood, figs, dates, praline, pistachio marzipan, earthy tones, humus, mushrooms. With water, it opens up to honeyed notes, poached pear, acacia honey, Sauternes, menthol, and camphor.
Palate
Citrusy and tropical with blood oranges, pink grapefruits, guavas, lemon and orange honeys, a drop of chartreuse, and mint liqueur. With water, it moves towards teas, green pu-ehr, Earl Grey, bergamots, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Finish
Long, with mead, ginger, caramelised oranges, and peppermint.
